Tustin farmers markets: which day, which spot, what to expect

If someone says “meet me at the Tustin farmers market,” you’re already halfway into a mix-up. Old Town has midweek and Saturday markets on the same El Camino Real stretch. Summer adds the city’s monthly Sunset Market. Sundays have a separate certified market at The District at Tustin Legacy. Same city — different days, operators, and expectations.

Schedules change. Use this as a map, then check the official pages before you go.

Last checked: August 28, 2026 (PT). Always confirm on the city or county link.

How these get confused

Three things trip people up:

  1. Old Town isn’t one market. The city’s Vendors page says the Sunset Market farmers booths sit “in the same location as the Wednesday and Saturday Farmers Markets in Old Town Tustin.” That’s three rhythms on one strip.
  2. Saturday hours don’t match across official sources. The city’s News Flash and homepage say 9 a.m.–1 p.m. The Orange County Agricultural Commissioner’s certified-market list says 8 a.m.–12 p.m. for Downtown Tustin Saturday Farmers Market. Until those pages agree, check both — or go early.
  3. The District is a different market. It isn’t listed on The District’s own homepage or events pages. It is listed by the market operator and by the county Ag Commissioner. Different day, different neighborhood, different operator from Old Town’s Farm Bureau markets.

Old Town parking & construction

Still plan a buffer for any Old Town market.

City project page: work spans El Camino Real (First to Sixth) and Main Street (Newport Ave to C Street). Started January 5, 2026; page says through Summer 2026; FAQ says expected complete September 2026 (FAQ) — [VERIFY] summer vs. September. Expect noise, delays, temporary closures, dust/odors, pedestrian detours, heavy equipment. FAQ: construction hours Mon–Fri, 7 a.m.–4 p.m., with intermittent lane closures and temporary parking removal.

Weekly newsletter for Aug. 24–30, 2026: single-direction lane closure at El Camino Real and Main (three lanes still open), plus sidewalk/tree and crosswalk work. City: “near the finish line”; businesses open. Updates: tustinca.org/oldtown.

Parking: City says three public lots in Old Town — use them when street parking is blocked. City map marks lots near Third & Prospect, Main & Prospect, and west of El Camino Real toward C Street. Parking map.

Weekend markets fall outside weekday construction hours, but cones and lost street spaces can linger. Sunset starts at 5:00 p.m., after the stated construction window.
